Ye Devil Flee

"How say you be?" he said to me,
In deep sarcastic tone,
"Where be you to?" I said to he,
"Go, leave me be alone."

"What ere you do?" he said to I,
But I ne'er did a thing,
"Just leave be be" I said to he,
"What troubles ye do bring!"

"Do come by here" he prattled on,
"I ne'er do come thy way",
"Just this wee time" he did entice,
But I did never sway.

"Ye devil flee" I told him there,
"My God be by me side",
The devil flew 'fore I could blink,
And ne'er more did he chide.

"So humble yourselves before God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7
