I know I
said I'd do the jobs,
That no one else would do,
Because I thought you needed me,
But you don't have a clue.
I always
get the dirty jobs,
While others get the praise,
And then you wonder why it is,
I ask you for a raise.
You treat
me like a punching-bag,
You never seem to stop,
And though I give my everything,
The others reach the top.
Just one
step forward, two steps back,
I never get ahead,
I'll work where no one knows of me,
Until the day I'm dead.
And then
you'll wonder how it is,
You ever got along,
You'll think of how you treated me,
And realize you were wrong.
But will
you learn your lesson then?
Or will you ever change?
You'll find another 'whipping boy',
And things will stay the same.
