Where I Can Be Free

I'm barely a'livin' and spreadin' no light,
I'm hardly not here and it gives me a fright,
With no one a'carin' or shedin' a tear,
My time is a'done and it's over, I fear.

Before I am goin', a message fer you,
My days were a'pleasant, I know that you knew,
I'd like to be stayin and hangin' around,
There's lots to be doin' and fun to be found.

But God is a'waitin' and callin' fer me,
His gates are wide open and what is, will be,
So when you're a'dreamin' or thinkin' of me,
Please know I'm a'gone to a place I am free.
