Time Rushes On

Time is rushing by so fast,
It's really kind of scary.
We once were kids,
And soon we're grown,
And then it's time to marry.

And now we have kids of our own,
(The days go by so fast),
They're off to school,
And then to work,
Their childhood didn't last.

It's time for them to marry now,
(And time keeps marching on),
They have their kids,
And then their jobs,
The time is short, not long.

And finally we're just memories,
Just pictures in a book,
We raised our kids,
We did our job,
Without a second look.

We hope they will remember us,
For we did love them so,
We did our best,
To raise them right,
And then we had to go.
