Thinking Many Things

I think of things both short and long,
I think of things both right and wrong,
And all the places I belong,
I think of many things.

I think of when I was a kid,
I think of all the things I did,
And all the things my Mom forbid,
I think of many things.

I think of places I have been,
And all the things that I have seen,
At times I think they are a dream,
I think of many things.

I think of love and think of hate,
And wonder what will be my fate,
And think of how Christ cleared the slate,
I think of many things.

I think of many things in life,
I think of those who live with strife,
I think of how I love my wife,
I think of many things.

I think I'm thinking far too much,
And all my thinking is a crutch,
Instead of doing such and such,
I think of many things.

I think it's time to get things done,
Get on with life and have some fun,
Instead of thinking, doing none,
Just thinking many things.
