The Wheat And The Chaff

If people really knelt in prayer,
And prayed with all their heart,
This world might be a better place,
Instead, it falls apart.

For many pray a selfish prayer,
That they would have their way,
Then wonder why we're in a mess,
And trouble's here to stay.

They think that all should be like them,
And do the things they do,
And when some live another way,
They loudly disapprove.

Though some are right and some are wrong,
We've freedom of the choice,
To live the way that we believe,
And in our ways rejoice.

So let the Wheat live with the Chaff,
And God will work it out,
He'll separate the right from wrong,
Of that I have no doubt.

But until then, let's get along,
And try to live in peace,
If we can live in brotherhood,
Then hatred will decrease.

"Let both (wheat and chaff) grow together until the harvest.
Then I will tell the harvesters to sort out the weeds,
tie them into bundles, and burn them,
and to put the wheat in the barn." Matthew 13:30
