The Little Bee

While working in my yard one day,
I saw a little bee,
It hovered there around my head,
And made me want to flee.

I tried to brush the thing away,
It didn't want to go,
And then I took off on a run,
But I was just too slow.

It stung me once; it stung me twice,
But wait! - That cannot be,
I thought a bee could sting just once,
Not twice - "Oh, my, oh me!"

It circled for another bite,
And targeted my butt,
And then, as if that weren't enough,
It headed for my gut.

But it was just a little bee,
And it would soon exhaust,
But then I looked at it again,
My Lord! - It was a wasp!
