The Christ Of Calvary

Wonderful and mighty,
Is the Christ of Calvary,
He took our sin upon Himself,
So we could be set free.

An ancient Bible story,
That we've heard so many times,
Yet many listen to the Word,
But really, they are blind.

They see a lot of symbols,
Such as Sacrifice and Love,
But they may never know the God,
Who came down from above.

It's more than empty symbols,
It's the blood of God's own Son,
An innocence that conquered Hell,
And our salvation won.

So read the story often,
'Till it's deep within your soul,
And you will find the God above,
The One who makes us whole.
