Human Drama Poems

They say that I'm not capable
Of thinking on my own.

The Asylum

Rules, rules, rules,
Everywhere I look,
Can't ever do the things I want,
"Just do it by the book."

They say that I'm not capable
Of thinking on my own,
And so I live in here right now,
I am no longer home

I cannot live the way I choose,
I do as I am told,
I'll live my life on others terms
Until the day I'm old.

I didn't mean to end up here,
It was a big mistake,
They say that I went crazy
When a man's life I did take.

So now I sit inside these walls
And listen to the voices.
I'll stay in here until I die,
Because of my poor choices.
