Song Of The Prairies

Across the prairies rings a song
As yet unheard by man,
A song of riches, growth and pain,
A song of those who can
Tame the country,
Plow the land,
And start a family.

Though hardships come,
And sorrows see,
They vow that they will be
Free to work and love and dream,
Be prosperous, not defeated,
And make this Canada their own,
Till journeys are completed.
