Where rivers race
down winding gorge and waterfalls appear,
And forested mountains overlook the eagle and the deer,
That's where I feel contentment as I breathe a simple sigh,
The Rocky Mountains are my home, I'll live here 'till I
die.
Where Juniper and
Mountain Ash protect us from the sun,
We hike through creeks and meadow grass until the evening
comes,
Then sit around an open fire and think about the day,
The Rocky Mountains are my home, that's where I want to
stay.
But when my time on
Earth is done and Heaven is my home,
Green pastures and still waters are the places I will roam,
I know He'll make a paradise with rivers, lakes and trees,
Like Rocky Mountains here below, a Heaven made for me.
