Respect

I respect what you say,
And the things that you feel,
We each have opinions,
Some rubber, some steel.

We are born with free choices,
Have a right to be heard,
And if we will listen,
We’ll catch every word.

I may think you are right,
I may think you are wrong,
But we each have the freedom,
To sing our own song.

So lift up your voice,
Make a point to be heard,
Don’t listen to others,
If they think you’re absurd.

For the things that you offer,
May be things that we need,
To learn from each other,
Will help us succeed.

Let's show some respect,
Though we may not agree,
Respect those around us,
And we will be free.
