Rainy Days Without You

Another rainy day and I am blue,
Reminds me of the day you went away,
On rainy days is when I'm missing you,
There's nothing I could do to make you stay.
You took the sunshine and the stars above,
You took the rainbow and the pot of gold,
You took my soul when you betrayed my love,
I'll miss you in the days when I am old.
And now I sit and look out at the rain,
Like teardrops falling from my misted eyes,
I'm wounded and I feel a lot of pain,
A pain that leaves me crippled deep inside.
They say the rain will comfort and caress,
Then why am I in such an awful mess?
