Pinch A Penny

Save a penny, pinch a penny,
Quick, before there isn't any,
Penny saved is penny earned,
A lesson from my father; learned.

Being frugal, name's McDougal,
Say I'm cheap and blow your bugle,
Tell the world I'm very tight,
Tell it of my awful plight.

Take my dollar; hear me holler,
I am no financial scholar,
I just know that I am cheap,
Pocket's empty and so deep.

See a bargain; hear my jargon,
As I deal with Mr. Largen,
Make him sell it very low,
Quick, before his prices grow.

Life is over; 'neath the clover,
But before the day is over,
Buy my coffin very cheap,
Bury me and let me sleep.
