David and I had an idea to print a small recipe book some 20 years ago. We had in mind something that would be light-hearted and fun; a slight twist away from a book just filled with recipes.

At the same time we had a friend, Connie Bennett, an artist, who was pregnant, and needed something to occupy her mind while waiting for Baby to arrive. She gladly took on the challenge to turn each recipe we gave her into a delightful cartoon image.

While this was going on, I had started a small business which was steadily growing and starting to take up most of my time. With the added responsibility of raising a family, the project came to a stand-still.

Now that the kids are grown and life has returned to some form of sanity, we have finally found the time to complete what was started so long ago.

We hope you enjoy using this little book as much as we enjoyed making it.
