My Older Little Sis

You’re my own little Sis’,
And I’m here to say,
You’re getting older every day,
Did I say older?,
I meant more mature,
You’re younger than I am, that’s for sure.

You once were a child,
A long time ago,
But time keeps on moving (so I’m told),
And now you are older,
(I mean more mature),
I’d mention the number, but that’s a blur.

Suffice it to say,
I wish you the best,
You’ve faced your challenges; passed your tests,
So here’s to your birthday,
And all the year through,
And may the Lord bless you in all you do.
