Many Nightmares In The Night

Many nightmares in the night,
Violent, gross, they give me fright,
Bleeding, sucking, most grotesques,
Always vivid, can't get rest.

In my vision, see them there,
Not so pleasant, gives a scare,
Never waking, always here,
Try to face the things I fear.

But I falter, live in fear,
Desecrate what I hold dear,
Try to waken, see the sky,
But I can't, although I try.

Live in darkness all around,
It is there that I am bound,
Ever present is a fear,
That my nightmare's always near.

Wait, I see a distant light,
No more will I live with fright,
No more will I live in fear,
All my dreams will be sincere.

Living, loving, all in peace,
All my nightmares finally cease,
Pleasant, peaceful dreams will be,
Thank you, God, in You I'm free.
