Poems About Interesting People

Little One

I love to look upon your face,
The perfect picture of God's grace,
Your dark complexion, wavy hair,
It shows of our Creator's care.

He saw you in your Mother's womb,
He loved you then, and knew that soon
You'd come to bless your Mom and Dad,
And make them happy and so glad.

Matthea Davynn, little one,
Though you're a daughter, not a son,
They gave you Opa Suykens' name,
And Grandpa Pekrul's, just the same.

A special present sent from God,
May all your dreams be gold, not sod,
I wish you peace and joyous life,
And may God keep you free from strife.
