Just As I Am

I hear some people saying "I was born this way",
And all because of that "it is the way I'll stay,"
"It really can't be sinful if it feels so right,"
"I guess that God just wants me as I am."

It's true God made creation and said all was good,
And hoped we'd keep it good by doing things we should,
But Satan came along, the curs-ed lie to spread,
And that has put creation in a jam.

Because of sin, the world God made became a curse,
And things once good became so bad and then got worse,
Now just because 'we're born this way' may not be good,
It seems morality is on the lam.

But Jesus brings forgiveness; makes creation right,
He said it's not our battle and that He will fight,
To free us from the curse and from our sin will save,
If we will come to Him "just as I am."
