I Testified For Him

He gave me words to say one day,
When all my thoughts had gone away,
And when my feet had turned to clay,
I testified for Him.

I could not speak all on my own,
My voice just sounded like a groan,
To tell of how He could atone,
I testified for Him.

His saving grace did sanctify,
Yet I was speechless, don't know why,
I stumbled 'round, but I did try,
I testified for Him.

I bowed my head in humble prayer,
My courage rose; I would not scare,
He said He'd give me words to share,
I testified for Him.

And then He told me what to say,
To spread His love and show the way,
He gave me words that would not stray,
I testified for Him.

"And when you are brought to trial
in the synagogues and before rulers
and authorities, don't worry about
how to defend yourself or what to say,
for the Holy Spirit will teach you at
that time what needs to be said."
Luke 12:11-12
