I'm In Love

I'm in love; I'm in love, and I want you to know,
It is real; it is real, so I'll just let it show,
I'm in love with the Saviour, the true Son of God,
This is not just some fancy; it is not a façade.
This is not a religion, not a strict set of rules,
Yet some say I am crazy, and they say I'm a fool.

And they say that my faith is as blind as a bat,
And some day I'll awake, and I'll ask, "What was that?"
But it's more than emotion; it's a practical thought,
For my sins, which were many, are forgiven and bought,
By the Saviour's own death and His shedding of blood,
And my cup runneth o'er, no, it's more like a flood.

And the blessings of Heaven are poured out on me,
And I know I am rescued and know I am free,
From the sin that once held me and kept me in tow,
And the ones that condemned me to live down below.
Though you don't understand, please accept who I am,
I am one who's been washed by the blood of the Lamb.
