Fickle Friendship

Friendship, allegiance,
So fickle, so lame,
When one breaks a friendship,
Then who is to blame?

Honesty, openness,
Things of the past,
Without those two allies,
No friendship will last.

Time spent and time lost,
And who gives a damn,
Just take it or leave it,
"I am what I am."

Once we were happy,
And all was so good,
But then you got stupid,
I knew that you would.

Heartache and bitterness,
All that is left,
For you took the good times,
And left me the rest.
