We're
drowning in this society
with no way out, no way out
faceless corporations exploiting the common man
their employees unable to help
controlled by those above them
unable to make decisions
puppets fighting against the strings to no
avail.
We're
trapped in a bureaucracy of rules
with no one using reason or logic
just following rules made by some unseen power
some department or committee who feels
they know what is best for us
but living by other rules to benefit only
themselves.
We are
the Serfs of the modern Barons
kept down so we ‘know our place’
allowed just enough latitude
so as to give us a sense of freedom
without encroaching on the greed
and selfish ambitions of those in power
letting others do our thinking for us
until one day we are unable to think for
ourselves.
