A glass of wine and
a bottle of rum,
Getting drunk like that was really dumb.
You staggered around and then fell down,
You thought you were smart but looked like a clown.
What were you
thinking getting drunk like this,
Just climbing the stairs was a hit and miss.
But you got in your car and went for a ride,
You finally got home and with luck you're alive.
You risked your life
behind the wheel,
And someone got hurt; now how do you feel.
You say you were drunk and it's not your fault,
But according to the law it's vehicular assault.
Now you sit in jail
knowing what you've done,
The boy you ran over was a mother's son.
A lesson to be learned; driving drunk isn't cool,
You were once 'The Man'; now you're just a fool.
