I love my
great country so don't get me wrong,
The Canadian Anthem is my favourite song,
A small population, the largest landmass,
The greatest of nations, it's hard to surpass.
But the problem we have is the West and the East,
The French and the English, we always compete,
The East call us Rednecks and they may be right,
We have one great nation and yet always fight.
They have
referendums to leave or to stay,
They won't fly our flag, just the blue Fleur-de-lais,
A nation divided, the East and the West,
We each think we're right and we are the best.
But we are one nation, a strange love affair,
A proud heritage and one that we share,
It's time we put bygones back where they belong,
Making "O Canada" the greatest of songs.
